Luftwaffe Flight blouse for a Major of Flight
This stunning flight blouse has both a 1914 Iron Cross 1st Class, and an Imperial Observer's Badge executed in bullion. Also it has a 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class with 1939 clasp and loops for a ribbon bar.
The exceptionally rare configuration of cloth awards was reviewed a decade ago on the Wehrmacht Awards Forum. The thread can be found here.
Flight blouse shows uniform wear all over including the awards and insignia, which all look originally applied to me. The shoulder boards are rather sloppily applied, and while the application looks old, it is quite an enigma since the collar tab application is flawless.
The inside, like the outside, shows honest wear but no damage, and features a slit and hanger for the officer's dagger.
Very unique flight blouse with two bullion badges that are rare and valuable in their own right.
