Luftwaffe Flight blouse for a Major of Flight
It's not every day you see a Senior Officer's flight blouse, but how often do you see one with an Imperial bullion award? And how about two of those?
This stunning flight blouse has both a 1914 Iron Cross 1st Class, and an Imperial Observer's Badge executed in bullion. Also it has a 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class with 1939 clasp and loops for a ribbon bar.
Tunic shows uniform wear all over including the awards and insignia, which looks originally applied to me. The shoulder boards are rather sloppily applied, and while the application does not look recent, it is quite an enigma since the collar tab application is flawless. In any case, tunic is IMO definately not a rebuild.
The inside, like the outside, shows honest wear but no damage, and features a slit and hanger for the officer's dagger.
Very unique tunic with two bullion badges that are rare and valuable in their own right.
