Luftwaffe Service tunic for a Major of Flight
This sharp looking piece is a text book example of an early Luftwaffe officer's service tunic.
It's tailored from very fine officer's cloth which retains a vibrant deep blue-gray color. Along with the equally vibrant golden-yellow tabs and boards, it's quite an impressive display piece.
Apart from some wear around the collar, tunic is overall in very good condition, however it has suffered some moth bites, mostly around the shoulders on the back.
On the left breast, there are loops for a clasp, or more likely, a long ribbon bar, as well as two badges.
On the right breast, we find a lovely early droop tail bullion eagle, and loops for a German Cross or a Spanish Cross.
The inside features a dagger hanger, and a dagger slit surrounded by a heart shaped piece of cloth. Tailor label in the neck.
The lining is generally in good condition, free of any staining, but there is some wear or mothing on the back area.
Overall a very sharp looking tunic.

Consignment piece, so unfortunately layaways are not possible
